West Palm Beach
As the name suggests, West Palm Beach is found west of Palm Beach. It is the oldest incorporated municipality in Greater Miami since it was incorporated as a city two years before Miami in November 1894. It’s located about 70 miles north of Downtown Miami.
WPB has a population of about 100,000, meaning it’s small enough to not feel overly crowded, but, it’s also big enough to have an active culture, nightlife, tons of great restaurants, attractions, and a commitment to historical preservation. There are also 47 miles of pristine beaches, it’s the golf capital of the world (home to PGA headquarters), and it’s close to top universities.
West Palm Beach is a convenient place to live. Fort Lauderdale is only an hour away; Miami is an hour and a half, and Key Largo is two. West Palm Beach also has an international airport.
